My practice is sparked by disillusions. I work to navigate conflicting feelings of attraction and repulsion, engaging materials and images to investigate desire. I negotiate mass media and popular culture with personal experience through processes of replication, manipulation, and simulation, creating versions of objects that question the implicit value of the originals. I aim for truth and authenticity. Sometimes this results in humorous fallacy. The closer a project is to mining my inner subjectivity the more complicated it becomes. Lines of flight weave my work into a body without organs. Instead of narrowing my scope of inquiry over time, I participate in a faceted unfolding of intuitive engagement.
